Riguardo

I am an Italian artist and musician, with a degree in Painting from the Brera Academy.

My artistic production began in 2006 with introspective and cryptic works, marking phases of my life during which I experienced moments of contrast and darkness. Most of these works are part of private collections and can be viewed on the website in the archive section.

Graffiti Meat

A part of my work is inspired by graffiti art and pop art, a context from which the collection Graffiti Meat was born. This is a series of illustrations hand-drawn on a graphics tablet, printed on fine art paper using the Giclée technique, on which I make direct interventions with acrylics, paints, and 24k gold leaf, also creating dedicated customizations.

Graffiti Meat is an open and currently expanding collection. You can see all the works in the collection and some examples of handmade customizations in the Graffiti Meat section, which you can find under the Collections item in the drop-down menu.

The Hundred Suns

The Hundred Suns is a series of one hundred unique paintings, each depicting the archetype of the Sun in a different way. This project is a celebration of the human experience of solitude in its luminous dimension of authentic and uncontaminated individual space.

The title itself plays on the phonetic ambivalence of the word "soli": intended both as the plural of "sole" (sun, the star) and as the plural of "solo" (alone, the adjective).

Each Sun is an emblem of a state of mind: some take on the appearance of figurative faces, while others are composed of abstract forms. Together they form a choral narrative of the human experience, where everyone can recognize fragments of themselves. I myself, even though I created them all, found my fragment among The Hundred Suns. One in particular stood out among the others, like the surface of a mirror.

The Monopoly of Sadness

The Monopoly of Sadness is a project that encompasses an entire symbolic and poetic dimension expressed through a process of serial production of a drawing with an instinctive, essential, and expressionistic stroke, symbolically depicting the creation of an emotional universe. A ritual repetition, each time unique.

The Monopoly of Sadness includes two main branches:

The first is the classic series, composed of individual works created with different techniques and media. These works are listed in The Monopoly of Sadness section under the Collections item in the drop-down menu.

The second is an annual event entitled 365 Days of The Monopoly of Sadness, in which I create one Monopoly of Sadness per day for an entire year.

Within this cycle, each Monopoly of Sadness is created on the very day to which it is linked and always features the creation date integrated into the work.

The daily creation process is documented on my social media through video material. Each work is invariably created on the corresponding date to which it is linked.

365 Days of The Monopoly of Sadness is an event that began on January 1, 2026, and will conclude on December 31, 2026.
